Kinniya wins fourth monthly draw of People’s Bank Jaya Sri 2012 Grand Prize

People’s Bank launched the Jaya Sri 2012 Draw in February this year, enabling any customer who holds a savings or current account of People’s Bank except for minors’ savings and foreign currency accounts to enter the Jaya Sri 2012 Draw.

The People’s Bank Jaya Sri 2012 draw is carried out in two segments, as a monthly draw and an annual draw. Around 1,070 prizes are offered with a minimum of three prizes per branch in the monthly draw and the winners of the first prize will take home a Micro Panda Car or a Taffe Tractor, whilst 48 winners drawn in favour of the second prize, where each winner will be gifted a 24” LED TV on the basis of two prizes per every region of the island and as consolation prizes, mixer grinders will be presented to 1,020 winners.

The winners of the annual draw stand the chance to win three brand new luxurious Honda Civic cars. In order to be eligible for the monthly draw, one should maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 10,000 in any savings (other than minor or foreign currency) or current account of People’s Bank for a period of one month and to be eligible for the annual draw, one should maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 50,000 up to 31 December 2012.

M. A. Mohammed Ismail, a resident of Kinniya, was the winner of the fourth monthly draw and he opted for the Micro Panda car.

“My name is Mohammed Ismail. I’m 63 years old. I have seven children and all of them are married. I’m a businessman. All our accounts are at People’s Bank. It is my current account at People’s Bank that enabled me to become the winner of the first prize. I’m really happy to win this valuable car,” he said.
