Kumar Jayasuriya new Chairman of Central Finance

Kumar Jayasuriya has been appointed the new Chairman of Central Finance Plc with effect from 14 July, succeeding J.D. Bandaranayake who has retired. 

Jayasuriya, the immediate past Chairman of Untitled-5Finlays Colombo Plc, has been a member of the Central Finance Board since 1 July 2011 as a Non-Executive Director. 

He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants – UK, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - UK.

He is a Trustee and former Chairman of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon and also a director of several other public listed and non-listed companies incorporated in Sri Lanka including Nations Trust Bank Plc, Lanka Aluminium Industries Plc and Acme Printing & Packaging Plc.

Earlier Central Finance also announced the appointment Arjun Fernando as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 16 August 2017.

With the latest changes, the Board of Central Finance will comprise Kumar Jayasuriya (Chairman), E.H. Wijenaike (Managing Director), G.S.N. Peiris, R.E. Rabukwelle, A.K. Gunaratne, A.D.B. Talwatte, D.P. 

De Silva, S. Wickramasinghe, A.D.N. de Zoysa and Arjun Fernando (from 16 August 2017).
