Lalith Withana appointed to BOC Board

Lalith Withana has been appointed to the Board of Bank of Ceylon, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of K.L. Hewage.

Withana is also a Director on the Board of Seylan Bank Plc since December 2008. He currently functions as the CEO of Orit Apparels Ltd.

Withana counts over 20 years in management positions within the corporate sector of which over 12 years had been at senior levels in banking, trade and manufacturing with experience at organisations such as Brandix, Ernst & Young, Amro Bank, IBM and Carson Cumberbatch.

He had served as a Consultant to Brandix Asia Ltd., and Vice President at Brandix Lanka ltd. Withana also was the CEO of Brandix Casualware Ltd., and Brandix Lightsew Ltd as well as the CEO Procurement of Brandix Apparel Ltd. He had also been a Commission of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.
