Lankaputhra Development Bank launches Viyavasayaka Athwela in Kandy

The fourth stage of the Viyavasayaka Athwela training program, jointly organised by Lankaputhra Development Bank and the National Enterprise Development Authority, was held in Kandy recently. The program was coordinated by the Kandy branch of Lanka Puthra Development Bank. Entrepreneurs who have obtained loans as well as people who are planning to start businesses participated at the training. The training program is aimed at small and medium entrepreneurs. The training program was held at the Pilimathalawa Rural Development Training Centre Auditorium for two days for 35 entrepreneurs who are members of the Danthure ‘Helavanitha’ Development Foundation and Thalathuoya Milk Farmers Association. Entrepreneurs engaged in self employment projects in agriculture, home gardening, making sweets and rearing cows for milk were selected for this training program. Subject knowledge was given by professionals and Lankaputhra Development Bank together with National Enterprise Development Authority found the resource personnel. The National Enterprise Development Authority has developed a special training method to train the entrepreneurs. The organisers have planned to hold the Viyavasayaka Athwela training program islandwide.
