Largest merchant network discounts for BOC credit and debit cards

Bank of Ceylon (BOC) is offering exciting discounts for BOC debit and credit cards throughout the year 2013. Under this program, discounts of up to 50% for the value of purchases made will be offered at selected merchants. There are over 200 merchants covering hotels and restaurants, hospitals and pharmaceuticals, electrical appliances, textile, jewelry shops, entertainment, telecommunication accessories, service stations, retail outlets and several other categories.



BOC offers a range of credit cards such as Platinum (black), International Gold, International Classic, Local Gold, and Local Classic cards through VISA international. Titanium, Master Gold and Master Standard cards are offered through Master Card international. Also there are specially designed credit cards for professionals too; GMOA credit card for doctors and a special affinity credit card for Chartered Accountants). BOC Platinum, International Gold and Titanium cards with microchip security features are also available.

BOC provides many benefits to their card holders including emergency hospitalization, limit enhancement facilities, loyalty points and point redemption facilities in addition to free SMS alerts as a security measure, provides cash advances up to 50% of available credit limit from any ATM, supplementary cards for a third party, internet banking and installment payment plans at their merchant network.

BOC Platinum card specially bundled with travel insurance with accidental cover up to US$ 250,000, medical expense cover up to US$ 100,000, lost baggage insurance cover during air travel up to US$ 1000 and much more. BOC International Gold provides free life insurance or permanent disability cover up to Rs. 100,000, which includes lost baggage insurance cover during air travel.  All these benefits are subject to the stipulated terms and conditions of the bank.
