Lekamge appointed to The Finance Board

The Finance Company Plc has announced the appointment of Aruna Prasad Lekamge as an Independent Non Executive Director with effect from 23 July.

A specialist in insurance and risk management, he previously served as an Executive Director at Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation until June 2010. He was also a Director at Ceylon Asset Management Co Ltd. Having started his career as a teaching instructor and as a teacher at Ananda College, Colombo with a National Diploma in Education. He was a special student at the Finance and Management Faculty of the University of Colombo and completed his post graduate studies gaining speaclised MSc in Risk Management at Manchester Metropolitan University in UK.

His entrepreneurial ship record has made him one of the top business personalities in Sri Lanka and chars diversified group companies including international schools, international trading, transport and logistics sectors.
