LFSUS helps 150 poor families meet housing needs through SLSB and KIRDO

Lanka Financial Services For Underserved Settlements (LFSUS), a credit enhancement facility provider in Sri Lanka assisted by UN-Habitat, recently signed a tripartite agreement between Sri Lanka Savings Bank PLC (SLSB) and Kebithigollewa Integrated Regional Development Organisation (KIRDO), to grant a bulk loan of Rs. 15 million to be granted as sub-loans among 150 low income families in Kebithigollewa area in North Central Province (NCP). 

To date LFSUS has extended its credit guarantee facility for 25 housing projects and arranged bulk loans amounting to Rs. 280 million through 19 MFIs among 2,500 sub-borrowers with approximately 9,000 beneficiaries.
