Union Assurance (UA) yesterday announced the ability for its customers to receive up-to-date information about their Life insurance-premium payments through a simple text message.
The messages will be sent directly to mobile phones and is a first in the local insurance industry with UA having once again proven that innovation and technology acts as core elements in their functions.
Union Assurance (UA) launched this latest service using mobile innovation as a tool to mainly concentrate on delivering transparency and convenience to its customers.
The mobile communication is planned to reach Life insurance customers through the UA SMS gateway, ‘Union Connect,’ as a means of providing updated policy details. Customers can opt-in for mobile alerts which include payment reminders, payment due dates, payment confirmations, last payment dates and other information related to their Life policy/s.
With the rapid growth of mobile use, almost all industries are turning to mobile technology to provide superior customer care and that applies to services as well. ‘Union Connect’ will be a stepping stone for UA to leverage on these mobile technological advances in the ever-changing global market.

“A mobile alert sent directly to one’s mobile phone makes it easy for a customer to be updated when a payment is due; and also provides ease of mind when proof of payment confirmation is received. The beauty of it is that a customer obtains instant information without having to contact a UA representative, visit an outlet or even be connected to e-mail. It is important to note that Union Connect is designed in compliance with the regulations of IBSL.
