With Colombo’s changing skyline in the face of an impressive transformation to become among the best cities in Asia, Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Alan Yarrow will share some important insights on how cities such as London continue to be a global financial centre at a CEO Forum organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
The forum will be held on Tuesday, 19 May at the Cinnamon Lakeside and Alan Yarrow who is also the Chairman of CISI, will speak on ‘Maintaining Competitiveness in Financial Services Sector – Insights from City of London as the leading global financial centre’.
The CEO Forum will be further complemented with a panel discussion featuring NDB Bank PLC CEO Rajendra Theagarajah, First Capital PLC CEO Dilshan Wirasekara and Amba Research Country Head Chanakya Dissanayake, while the moderator of the session will be Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim.
The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of London is the official title for the head of the City of London Corporation, which provides local policing and other services for the Square Mile. A dedicated ambassador, supporting and promoting the city as the world leader in international finance and business services, the Lord Mayor travels extensively, in liaison with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, fostering goodwill and boosting British trade, particularly in the markets and services of the city.
