MBSL Insurance partners with Informatics to provide general insurance solution

MBSL Insurance recently connected to a superior total general insurance software solution, InfoIns, provided by Informatics International Ltd. MBSL Insurance which is a subsidiary of the Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka and BOC will now be able to connect their 64 branches located island-wide to provide its clients with not only a more efficient system but also a significantly larger end-to-end solution that can cater to all software and organisational needs. MBSL Insurance Managing Director Sydney Gajanayake stated that the InfoIns solution will allow their organisation to function with greater efficiency and cost effectiveness. “Any company investing in any new tools or equipment will want to know that the investment will pay off and have sufficient return on investment (ROI) to justify the expenditure and that’s certainly the case with the Informatics InfoIns system. During the signing of the agreement between MBSL Insurance and Informatics, Managing Director of Informatics International Ltd., Hiran Wickramasinghe stated that Informatics has developed this end-to-end general insurance solution to manage all available necessities within the insurance industry. The InfoIns software is a comprehensive solution that has been utilised by numerous insurance companies throughout the world. As a solution dedicated to catering to the needs of the insurance industry, it has been recently implemented in Fiji and Mauritius. It has also won numerous awards over the year at events such as the National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) for its innovation and functionality. The InfoIns solution further tracks underwriting claims functions, sales and marketing activities, accounts activities that include receivables, payable and general ledger function which also include a comprehensive re-insurance module as well as the commission module and sales force maintenance that are under constant evolution allowing the software to adapt to the dynamics of the insurance industry. Some of the add-on modules in the InfoIns solution are android connectivity for claim assessors, customer portal, agents’ connectivity and document management system.
