MBSL revamps head office customer services

Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka (MBSL), the pioneer merchant bank in the country, has moved one step ahead by bringing all solutions offered to its customers under one roof at its head office in BOC Merchant Tower. The new facility is located on the ground floor of the Head Office Complex at BOC – Merchant Tower, No28, St. Michael’s Road, Colombo 3. The new one-stop-shop was declared open by Bank of Ceylon (BOC) Acting Chairman Raju Sivaraman along with the other MBSL Board

Members. The Guest of Honor of the event was BOC General Manager Gunasekara and MBSL Chairman M.R. Shah was also among the honorable gathering along with Rupasinghe, Bandara and Lilith De Silva who represented the Board of Directors of MBSL. During his inauguration speech, Sivaraman stated the high importance of rejuvenating the present day banking system according to the rapidly changing customer dynamics. He further stated that there was a time where customers came to the door step of the MBSL and waited till the bank fulfill their requirements, but with the rapidly changing customer dynamics and due to the intense competitiveness of the market, now the MBSL has to go to the doorstep of the customers to identify their needs and offer tailor made solutions to their requirements. Shah also expressed his views on the need of revolutionising present day finance business according to the changing market and consumer dynamics. He further stated that with the lightning speed of development of infrastructure facilities nowadays, it’s a herculean task to retain current customers as present day customers demand tailor made customer services according to their requirements. Therefore it is important that MBSL attracts new customers by offering world class customer service and hence MBSL has taken a strategic initiative to bring all solutions under one roof. With this newly-established unit dedicated to customer service, all MBSL current customers can obtain their services under one roof and potential customers can also make any inquiry with regard to their needs. MBSL cordially invites the general public to enjoy this new facility located on the ground floor of the Head Office Complex at BOC Merchant Tower.
