Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa opened on March 12 two modern, state-of-the art buildings which will house the Trincomalee and Mutur branches of the People’s Bank.
The first building houses the Trinco main branch which was opened in July 1967. Today its customers number over 45,000. The Mutur branch which opened in 1992 has25000 customers,

Gunawardena, Eastern Provincial Council Chairman Ariyawathi Galappatthi, People’s Bank CEO and General Manager Wasantha Kumara, Trinco PB Manager K. Selvaraj and Mutur PB Manager S.M. Rateef.
