National Savings Bank begins 2014 on a high note

The first day activities of the NSB for 2014 were commenced ceremonially with a traditional note of multi religious programs at the Head Office Premises of NSB in Colpetty yesterday, in the morning hours. The proceedings of the event began with the chanting of seth pirith and anushasana by the Members of the Maha Sangarathne, which continued with the invoking of blessings by the clergies of Christian, Hindu and Islamic religions. The occasion was graced by the Chairperson of NSB W.A. Nalani, Working Director Deshabandu Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana, GM/CEO H.M. Hennayake Bandara, Additional GM T.M.K. Bandara, SDGM Dhammika Perera, DGMM K. Ravindran, Jagath Gamanayake, DGMM Kithsiri Wijerathne, Anula Jayasinghe, CRO S.R. Gunatilaka and the AGMM, senior management and entire staff of the Head Office. During the latter part of the ceremony, Nalani, Abeygunawardana and Bandara addressed the staff and they stressed, in one voice, the need for the collective effort of the staff for the enhancement of the bank in the future. The staff of the NSB commenced work for the New Year with an oath to serve the people efficiently and productively with firm determination, utmost commitment, honesty, dedication and loyalty to the people. The National Savings Bank wishes its valued customers and all Sri Lankans a happy and prosperous New Year.
