Nations Trust Bank (NTB), one of Sri Lanka’s leading financial institutions has developed rapidly over the last 12 years through a strategy of organic growth and acquisitions.
In keeping with the vision of the bank – ‘making life simple by being the benchmark of convenience’, NTB provides customer convenience through pioneering services such as ‘365 Day Banking’, mini branches, Personal Banking Centres and extended banking hours in Sri Lanka.
Following a brand audit by a leading consultancy firm in 2008, NTB upgraded the bank’s identity by launching a new look and feel that is clearly visible and easily identifiable today. The new brand identity represents its core values of flexibility, simplicity, responsiveness and innovation - all of which are values espoused by the organization in delivering high levels of service to customers.
Nations Trust Bank has now gained additional recognition and accolades by winning the title of ‘Best Private Bank in Sri Lanka’ awarded by the prestigious World Finance Awards in the UK. It was first recognized by World Finance in 2011 also.
The World Finance Awards is an extension of the World Finance periodical, a leading financial publication in the UK. The World Finance awards are presented after detailed evaluation of various banks across the globe. The process of analysis identifies business leaders, teams and organizations that in the course of the year have made significant progress in their areas and whose achievements create new standards and uplift practices in the world of finance and business. The main criteria that financial services providers were evaluated on were as follows: transparency with shareholders and stakeholders, financial disclosures (strength; size; soundness; profits; performance), solution and optimisation of bank’s products & services, innovation and flexibility, leadership and geographical spread.
“It is a great achievement for Nations Trust Bank to be recognized as the Best Private Bank in Sri Lanka. The Bank has always been at the forefront of customer centric innovation and solutions. This award from World Finance proves our commitment to providing value-added solutions and services for our customers,” NTB Director and CEO Saliya Rajakaruna said.
