Sri Lanka’s largest common ATM network
Nations Trust Bank joined the ‘LankaPay’ Common ATM network allowing its customers to transact anywhere anytime at over 2,400 ATMs island wide. LankaPay – Common ATM Service allows customers of one bank to transact using an ATM of another member bank at a maximum fee of Rs. 30 per cash withdrawal and Rs. 7.50 for Balance Inquiry. The move will bring greater convenience and affordability to all Nations Trust Bank customers as they avail themselves of Sri Lanka’s largest common ATM network, which has already linked up Bank of Ceylon, Commercial Bank, HNB, NDB, and People’s Bank, Seylan Bank, Union Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
The LankaPay network is operated by LankaClear Limited with the approval and guidance of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and is the first phase of the national common payment network. The network is designed to become the backbone infrastructure for all future electronic transactions, which will facilitate seamless connectivity coupled with real time payments.
Commenting on the move, Nations Trust Bank Retail and SME Banking Deputy General Manager Keshini Jayawardena said, “We are indeed delighted to be connected with Lanka Pay – your national payment network. As a truly customer-centric financial institution, Nations Trust Bank has always been striving to offer exceptional service and convenience to our elite clientele with many innovative services. LankaClear’s General Manager and CEO Sunimal Weerasooriya added, “LankaClear adds significant value to the economy through the provision of innovative, efficient payment services, focusing on connecting individuals and businesses with ever more convenient and safe ways to transact.
