New appointments to Singhaputhra Finance board

K.H .K Wijayadasa has resigned as Chairman from the board of Singhaputhra Finance Plc and has been replaced by Nihal Nissanka Ratnayake from 29 December.

Premalal Ekanayake and Dr. Amal Randhir Karunaratna have been appointed to the directorate of the company as S.C Imbuldeniya, A.M.G Weerakoon and C.M Balalle resigned from the board.

Premalal Ekanayake has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Huluganga Trading Company from 1987 to 1999, CEO of Ekra Construction Company from 1983 to 2001 and as a committee member of the Cancer Treatment Centre – Kandy and counts nearly 35 years experience as an entrepreneur and philanthrophist.

Dr. Karunaratna has a Phd from the University of Sydney and currently works as an Associate professor at the University of Adelaide,  Australia, having worked there from 2000 to 2009 before which he was attached to the School of Commerce at the University of Adelaide from 1997 to 2000.
