Nimal Tillakeratne new CEO at Pan Asia Bank

Senior banker Nimal Tillekeratne has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Pan Asia Banking Corporation from 3 April 2017.

The appointment has been approved by the Central Bank.fjh

He succeeds Dimantha Seneviratne who resigned at end of 2016 to take up post as CEO at NDB Bank.

Nimal counts almost 40 years of service in the banking industry in Sri Lanka and overseas. He is an associate member of the Institute of Bankers, Sri Lanka and a passed finalist of Executive Diploma in Business Statistics from Moratuwa University. He was the former Senior Deputy General Manager of Sampath Bank Plc and was a in the Board of Sampath IT Systems Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sampath Bank Plc.

His exposure to various disciplines in banking industry is qite wide spread having headed Operations, Branch Credit, Commercial Credit, Credit Carb bsuines, Collections at Sampath Bank and spearheading its branch expansion initiatives adding 93 branches to its network in less than 3 years. 

IN particular he was instrumental in driving Sampath Bank in northern and eastern provinces.

He was also involved in setting up business process at Cargills Bank for a short period and as the Senior Deputy General Manager of Seylan Bank overseeing the Bank’s core operations, trade services, remittances business, alternate banking and self channels, process digitalization efforts in addition to setting up of the Banks branch expansion on course.

He views process of digitalization and automation as the way forward for quality customer service, cost control and growth in retail banking sphere.
