NSB’s new Pitakotte branch was ceremonially opened recently, marking the addition of branch number 241 to its island wide network.
Deputy Minister of Policy Planning, Economic Affairs, Child, Youth and Cultural Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva attended the branch opening as the guest of honour and Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake was the chief guest of the ceremony held at the new branch location at E.W. Perera Mawatha, Pitakotte.
NSB Chairman Aswin De Silva, Director Suranga Naullage, General Manager/CEO Dhammika Perera, Snr. Deputy General Manager Jagath Gamanayake and the corporate management of National Savings Bank along with invited guests and members of the local community were present at this event.
Featuring the acceptance of inaugural deposits by the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony, first and second initial deposits of the NSB Pitakotte branch were handed over to Ravi Karunanayake by Solis Group Director Sanjeewa Kumara and Public Trustee Tharangani Keenawinna Dissanayake respectively.
