NSB rewards winners of 77th ‘Ridee Rekha’ and ‘Deyata Kirula’ special prize draws

The National Savings Bank’s 77th Ridee Rekha draw and Deyata Kirula special prize draw for SMILE accounts were conducted recently at the NSB head office auditorium. This occasion was graced by NSB Chairperson W.A. Nalani, NSB Director Hema Madiwela, GM/CEO H.M. Hennayake Bandara, Addl. GM T.M.K. Bandara, Senior DGM Dhammika Perera, DGMM K. Ravindran, Jagath Gamanayake and a number of invitees . A brand new motor car worth of Rs. 2.5 million was given away as the first prize of the Ridee Rekha draw and cash prizes worth of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 1,000 along with other prizes were also awarded. The total number of prizes awarded at the draw was 6051 amounting to a total of Rs. 9 million. The motor vehicle given away at the Ridee Rekha draw this time was won by N.U.A.C. Wimalaratne, a Ridee Rekha certificate holder of the NSB Nawalapitiya branch and the salient feature of this event was that this valuable vehicle was won with a Ridee Rekha certificate worth just Rs. 100 only. In the meantime, at the Deyata Kirula Special SMILE prize draw held this year, focusing on the Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts, a hand tractor was offered as the first prize along with three agricultural water pumps and three sewing machines and 10 bicycles as the second and third prizes, respectively. At the Deyata Kirula Special SMILE prize draw, the first prize of the hand tractor was won by S. Raviyaumma an account holder of Akbargramam Sub Post Office.
