The National Savings Bank’s 80th Ridee Rekha draw was conducted recently at the NSB Head Office Auditorium. This occasion was graced by the bank’s Chairperson W.A. Nalani, NSB Director Deshabandu Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana, Actg. GM/CEO Dhammika Perera and DGM (Branch Operations and Marketing) Jagath Gamanayake, with the participation of a number of invitees. A brand new motor car worth Rs. 2.5 million is rewarded as the first prize of the Ridee Rekha Draw, whilst prizes worth Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 1,000 along with other prizes are also being awarded. The total number of prizes awarded at the draw is 6,051 amounting top Rs. 9 million. The motor vehicle of the Ridee Rekha draw this time was won by S. Gunarathne, a Ridee Rekha Certificate holder of NSB Kandy Branch, and the salient feature of this event was that this valuable vehicle was won by a Ridee Rekha Certificate worth just Rs. 100 only. ‘Ridhee Rekha’ is a unique savings certificate that can win prizes at a quarterly draw throughout the period if you retain your certificate. Ridee Rekha certificates come in denominations of 100, 250, 500, 1,000 and 5,000. Each 10 rupee value unit in the certificate will have a draw number which means when you buy a certificate in higher denomination you will be entitled for more and more draw numbers. Your certificate’s draw number will entitle you for prizes in every draw until you en-cash the certificate. Prize winners are notified by registered post or displayed in NSB branches or in the web site.
