NTB opens branch in Kaduruwela

Nations Trust Bank (NTB), being a key player in the financial industry, reiterated its commitment towards expansion with the opening of its 49th branch in Kaduruwela, a town in the Polonnaruwa District which is an emerging business hub with an ancient history, massive tanks and luscious paddy fields.

This expansion drive also supports the country’s development by moving to locations outside the Western Province.

Located at 292, Sawmill Junction, the new branch is based on their proprietary design concept offering the ultimate in banking standards, 365 day banking with extended banking hours and greater convenience and simplicity in banking.

With the entry to Kaduruwela, NTB will roll out a range of products including personal banking products such as savings accounts and current accounts for personal and business customers alike.

The Kidz and Personal Investment Plans guarantees a fixed monthly interest rate which allows planning for the future. The suite of segmented product offerings includes the Private Banking and Inner Circle Membership, Platinum and Gold Membership for the Business customers. Apart from this the bank offers  foreign currency deposits and investment services, a host of attractive leasing packages for registered as well as unregistered vehicles and machinery, home loans, personal loans and vehicle loan facilities.

Nations Trust Bank is now focused on providing a wide range of products to the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SME). The opening of ‘Nations Business Centres’ in a number of locations has facilitated to offer financial solutions to the diverse needs of the business community across the country.

The branch network also offers remittance services and a number of global partners have been signed up to offer seamless transactions to its customers. Pawning services is also another facility that is being promoted thorough its geographic spread and customers could take advantage of the benefit from its proposition of 365 day banking with extended banking hours.  NTB has been in operation for over 12 years and has grown in strength and stability. The bank   had its best year ever in 2011 posting an after-tax profit of Rs. 1.5 b, up 40% over 2010. This was a significant uplift in earnings and also a stable balance sheet recording a balanced growth in deposits and advances. Essentially the bank was able to grow the business – advances up 39% and deposits up 38% - that resulted in a liquid and a well-capitalised balance sheet.

The bank now has 49 branches, seven Personal Banking Centres and is the sole issuer and acquirer for American Express cards in Sri Lanka.
