NTB strengthens Treasury Services

Nations Trust Bank (NTB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Indrajith Boyagoda as Deputy General Manager, Treasury. He joined NTB on 5 June.

Boyagoda joins NTB from SAMBA Financial Group, the premier financial services provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he functioned as the Assistant General Manager/Program Director, Treasury and Capital Markets, Audit and Risk Review Group.

His six-year career at SAMBA included review of all SAMBA treasury operations across the Middle East and Europe. Prior to taking up the appointment at SAMBA, Boyagoda worked at Citibank N.A. Colombo for a period of 14 years, where he finally held the position of Vice President, Country Treasurer.

Boyagoda holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Chemistry from the University of Peradeniya. He also holds a Diploma in Development Economics from the University of Colombo and a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Economics from the University of Colombo.

Commenting on the appointment, NTB CEO Saliya Rajakaruna said: “We are delighted to have Indrajith on the Corporate Management Team heading our Treasury Services. He is both qualified and experienced for the position and will take the business to the next level. I also take this opportunity to extend our utmost gratitude to Mahendra Galgamuwa for his valuable contribution in managing the treasury services at NTB.”

NTB is one of the fastest growing banks in Sri Lanka today. The bank now has 51 branches, seven personal banking centres, 27 leasing centres and is the sole issuers and acquirer for American Express cards in Sri Lanka.
