Pan Asia Bank ceremonially opened its 65th Branch in Pilimatalawa on 19 January at No. 207, Colombo Road Pilimatalawa.
The new branch was declared open by the Chief Guest, Deputy Minister Plantation Industries Earl Gunasekara and Guest of Honour Pan Asia Bank Chairman A.G. Weerasinghe.
The opening ceremony was graced by Mayor of Kadugannawa town council S.K Abeysiriwardane, Sinhalese Trade Association Chairman Sisira Abeywickrama, Pan Asia Bank CEO Claude Peiris, customers in the area, other distinguished guests and well-wishers.
Pan Asia Bank has been in operation for more than 16 years and offers a full range of retail, SME and business banking products and services. The bank which is one of the fastest growing banks in the industry opened 23 branches in 2011 and expects to extend its branch network to 100 branches by the end of 2012.
Pan Asia Bank also introduced several innovative value added products that have made a significant impact in the market in 2011, namely the Champion Saver Savings Account which offers 8% interest, a Leasing offer that could reduce interest rates down to 1%, and Ran Loan offer (a gold loan similar to pawning) that offers maximum value to customers.
Pan Asia Bank Pilimatalawa branch is headed by Walter Wickramaratne. The branch will be opened from 9a.m. to 4p.m. on weekdays and from 9a.m. to 1p.m. on Saturdays.
