People’s Bank Colombo Outer Region holds another ‘Entrepreneurial Glory’ program

The People’s Bank continued its pioneering efforts towards uplifting the country’s small and medium sector entrepreneurial community with yet another successful ‘Entrepreneurial Glory Program’ – this time for those entrepreneurs covered by the bank’s Colombo Outer Region. The event was held at the ‘Amalya Reach’ Hotel in Homagama with the participation of a large number of members of the SME community. Renowned Trainer/Human Talent Development Specialist Sanath Gamage conducting the workshop   As a program that is dedicated to educating the small and medium scale entrepreneurs in the country the prime objective of the ‘Entrepreneurial Glory’ program is to make the SMU community aware of many important subject matters such as entrepreneurship, business planning, sales management, financial accounting and management, and tax related issues. The ‘Entrepreneurial Glory’ program has since gained an immense popularity amongst the country’s entrepreneurial community as an important community service rendered by the bank. The eventual goal of Entrepreneurial Glory is to enhance the ‘financial literacy’ of the members of this important industry segment so they can better manage and sustain their business ventures and make a worthy contribution towards the national economy. The program, which was spearheaded by the Colombo Outer Region of People’s Bank was conducted with the expertise of many resource persons, including renowned Trainer/Human Talent Development Specialist Sanath Gamage, Commissioner, Department of Inland Revenue, Bandula Haputanthrige, Assistant General Manager (SME), People’s Bank, Wickrama Narayana, Assistant General Manager, Western Zone 2, T.D. De Z Gunawardane and Regional Manager Wasantha Ratnayake. A large number of staff members and customers also attended the seminar. People’s Bank has made arrangements to rollout the Entrepreneurial Glory program covering all its key regions with a view to reaching out to the largest possible cross section of small and medium scale entrepreneurs who make an invaluable contribution towards shaping the financial landscape of the country.
