People’s Bank for the second successive year held its ‘Bak Maha Ullela’ – a special Avurudu celebration organised for the bank’s staff at the Police Park Bambalapitiya recently.
The grand event which was held amidst the participation of a large number of enthusiastic participants was a true reflection of the bank’s commitment to sharing the spirit of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year with its valued staff members.
The traditional Avurudu celebration held annually by the People’s Bank intends fostering unity, mutual understanding and togetherness amongst the staff and is also extended to their immediate family members with a view to recognising their silent yet whole hearted support towards promoting the broader cause of the bank.
This year’s event had many exciting Avurudu games and cultural activities, including fun and entertainment activities in order to envelop both the young and the old, thus making this year’s Bak Maha Ullela a truly memorable event.
The event was held under the patronage of Gamini Senarath, Chairman, People’s Bank and included several members of the Bank’s Board of Directors, N. Vasantha Kumar, CEO/GM of the People’s Bank, members of the corporate and executive management teams and staff members from its island wide branch network, along with their family members.
