People’s Bank re-locates Trincomalee and Muthur branches

The new three storey building for Trincomalee Branch and the two storey building for Muthur Branch of People’s Bank were opened recently under the patronage of the Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa. The new branches with state-of-the-art-technology and superior banking services were opened with a vision to ensure financial prosperity for the people of Trincomalee and Muthur. The two branches will fulfil all banking needs of the citizens of the two areas while offering an array of loan facilities, pawning services and safety deposit lockers as well as day and night PET ATM facilities. The occasion was attended by the Governor of the Eastern Province Mohan Wijewickrama, the Chief Minister of the Eastern Province Najib Abdul Majid, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Susantha Punchinilame, Deputy Minister of Buddha Sasana & Religious Affairs M.K.A.D.S. Gunawardene, Minister of Parliament M.S. Taufeeq. Also Chairman of Eastern Provincial council W.G.S Ariyawathi Galappathithi, government officials of the region and officers from security forces were present at the opening. Chairman of People’s Bank Gamini S. Senarath, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar, Chief executive Officer of People’s Leasing & Finance D.P. Kumarage, People’s Bank Head of Marketing and Public Affaires Deepal Abeysekara, Deputy General Manager (Branch Operations) Boniface Silva,  Deputy General Manager (Banking Support Services) Mahinda Premanath, President of Ceylon Bank Employees Union and Assistant General Manager (Operations) A.K. Bandara, Trincomalee Regional Manager O.K.D.R. Wasantha, Trincomalee Branch Manager K. Selvarajah, Muttur Branch Manager S.M. Razim together with branch staff and customers were also present at the opening.
