People’s Bank wins ‘Service Brand & Banking Service Provider of the Year’ for 10th time at 2016 SLIM

In a one-of-a-kind achievement, People’s Bank has been awarded ‘People’s Service Brand of the Year’ and ‘People’s Banking Service Provider of the Year’ for the 10th consecutive time at the SLIM Nielson People’s Awards 2016 held at Waters Edge, Battaramulla recently. This is a breakout performance and a significant achievement for any corporate entity across all sectors and further reinforces People’s Bank’s impressive brand credentials.

SLIM Nielson People’s Awards are judged by people from across the country, who have repeatedly identified People’s Bank as the most popular and preferred brand over an entire decade. The SLIM Nielson People’s Awards are the most credible and highly coveted professional awards in the corporate sector and winning these high profile awards consistently for 10 years reflects the strength and stability of People’s Bank. 

Commenting on this outstanding triumph, CEO/GM N. People’s Bank has partnered with IBM and Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) to launch the first phase of its digitalisation drive to enable it to deliver a new level of service to its customers, whilst revolutionising the banking sector. Having always played a pivotal role in the economic development of Sri Lanka, People’s Bank will continue to be an economic driver and spearhead financial inclusivity by providing a wider segment of the population with access to high quality banking facilities and services.
