People’s Merchant gets new Director

People’s Merchant Finance Plc has announced the appointment of S.M.L. Kumari Sangakkara as a Non Executive Director of the company.

She also currently serves as a Board Member of People’s Bank, People’s Leasing Fleet Management of Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines and Chairperson of People’s Travels, a subsidiary of the People’s Bank.

An Attorney-at-Law, she possess over 30 years experience in the fields of law, management, marketing, hospitality and apparels. She was the Director of Seller’s Sportswear Ltd. from 1982 to 1990, Ronbiro International Garments from 1985 to 2000 and Sun Island Village holiday resort (1983-2004),
