President opens People’s Bank Thalawa Branch building

The new building of People’s Bank Thalawa branch was declared open under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently. The new state-of-the-art branch situated in Andarawewa Road, Thalawa is also equipped with many modern conveniences. The new branch will allow customers to conveniently attend to all their banking needs, loan facilities and will also have access to a 24 hour ATM.

The opening was attended by the chief prelate of the Anuradhapura Ruwanveliseya Ven. Pallegama Hemarathna Thero, Governor of the North Central Province Karunarathne Divulgane, Chief Minister of the North Central Province S.M. Ranjith Samarakoon, Minister S.M. Chandrasena, Deputy Ministers W.B. Ekanayake and Weerakumara Dissanayake, Anuradhapura District MP Shehan Semasinghe, People’s Bank Chairman Gamini Sedara Senarath, Head of Marketing and Public Affairs Deepal Abeysekera, Deputy General Manager (Operations) Bonifus Silva, Deputy General Manager (Banking Support Services) Mahinda Premanath, President of Ceylon Bank Employees Union, Assistant General Manager (Branch Operations) A.K Bandara, Assistant General Manager (North Central Zone) W.M.S Weerakoon, Anuradhapura Regional Manager W.N.P.N Indrasoma and Branch Manager H.M.A.K Herath along with the bank employees and customers graced the occasion.
