In keeping up with the corporate objective of upgrading existing branch offices, to provide a better service, to the members and clients, the 46th branch of the Prime Grameen network was relocated. The new, spacious and modern office is located at 155/2 A, Avissawella Road, Hewagama, Kaduwela. Previously the branch had been located at No. 512/2, Colombo Road, Kaduwela.
At a simple ceremony laced with religious observances held at the auspicious time of 9:20 a.m. on 31 October 2013, the Chief Guest Mayor of Kaduwela G.H. Buddadasa cut the ribbon, marking yet another milestone in the journey of success of Prime Grameen.
The event was also attended by Guests of Honour Prime Grameen and Prime Lands Group of Companies Chairman B. Premalal and Prime Grameen CEO/Director Chaminda Prabhath. The distinguished gathering consisted of Prime Grameen Director Marketing and Sales Sanjaya Liyanawatta, Director Priyalal Arangala, Director Ruwan Gallage, Deputy General Managers Annesley Fernando, Sarath Galagoda, Thanga Deepal and a host of other officials, dignitaries representing many commercial organisations at Kaduwela, members and clients of Prime Grameen.
Prime Grameen is the pioneer commercial microfinance institution in Sri Lanka duly licensed as a finance company by the Monetary Board of Sri Lanka. The financial products offered by Prime Grameen now extends beyond the limited horizons of microfinance to educational savings scheme “Sip Saviya”, children’s saving scheme “Yaalu”, Prime savings scheme, prime fixed deposits and “Miulasi” savings scheme tailor-made for Prime Grameen members.
