Ravi Menon to become Singapore’s central bank chief

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Central Bank said on Wednesday that Ravi Menon will become its Managing Director from 2 April, replacing Heng Swee Keat .

Heng is likely to enter politics. Menon is currently permanent secretary at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. He was an Assistant Managing Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 2002.
