Riyaz to quit Entrust Securities

Entrust Securities Plc said this week that its Board has accepted the resignation of Group Executive Director and CEO A.H.M. Riyaz with effect from 20 December 2012.

He was overlooking the entire operations of Entrust Limited, Entrust Securities PLC and Multi Finance PLC.

In the year ended 31 March 2012, Entrust reported a loss of Rs. 20 million, down from Rs. 148.7 million in the previous year.

Riyaz has an Honours degree in Business Administration from the University of Colombo and also holds a Master of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of  Sri Jayawardenapura. He is also an associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management accountants (UK).He counts nearly twenty two years’ experience in the field of Investment Management.

Prior to joining Entrust Securities he worked at Union Assurance Ltd., in the capacity of Head of Investments overlooking the entire fund management activities of UAL including policy making.

He has gained immense training exposure attending several overseas programs conducted by the Euro Money Training Instituste in Singapore and UK and by the FalIa – life Insurance Co. in Tokyo, Japan.
