Sampath Bank adjudged best bank in Sri Lanka by Euromoney

Sampath Bank was feted as the ‘Best Bank of Sri Lanka’ at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2014, for the second consecutive year. Awards for Excellence 2014 is awarded by The Euromoney, a UK-based financial magazine, and is a confirmation of Sampath Bank’s commitment to its product offering and outstanding customer service to meet the growing demand for financial services in Sri Lanka. The award was received by Sampath Bank Managing Director Aravinda Perera at the awards night held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong on 17 July 2014. Commenting on the award, Perera said, “We are privileged to be the recipient of such a prestigious award that places us on par with the best global financial institutions. We are honoured to be recognised as the best among formidable competitors locally and in the region. As a game changer in the Sri Lankan banking industry, we will continue our tradition of maintaining high standards that has placed us at the top of the industry.” He further went on to say that, Sampath Bank’s customers have played an important role in receiving this award; hence, and he would like to thank their loyal customers for being an integral part of the journey.
