With fantastic discounts on offer, decorated streets, and DJ music at several of these outlets added much more spice to the cardholders’ shopping experience giving the  ‘Sampath Town on Sale’ an atmosphere and the mood of a carnival.

The initial ‘Sampath Town on Sale’ which was initiated over a year ago, was held at Rajagiriya. This central location of this sales promotion attracted consumers from the surrounding areas of Moratuwa, Mount Lavinia, Panadura, Ratmalana and Piliyandala.

Within a weekend, the promotion in Negombo had generated a total volume of sales of over Rs. 14 million from over 700 Sampath Bank Credit Cardholders who had participated in the shopping extravaganza. Tharaka Ranwala, Deputy General Manager, Marketing and Business Development, Sampath Bank   said that the figures were a clear indication that this initiative was a resounding success.

Further, Ranwala   stated that Sampath Bank would continue this initiative while continuing to add more partner outlets to the fold, such as Jetwing Group of Hotels, who have given an attractive discount by adding a full board holiday shopping experience. The ‘Sampath Town on Sale’ programme gives the loyal Cardholders even more reason to be part of the Sampath Bank while giving them great discounts which makes the experience comparable to a shopper’s paradise.

The ‘Sampath Town on Sale’ promotion is fast becoming the most anticipated Credit Card promotion among its loyal customers and the promotion has been slated to visit more towns during the remaining 6 months of 2011.
