The e-Swabhimani is an initiative of the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka aimed at recognising excellence in digital content creation. It is expected that this national award would stimulate a greater interest in the development of a wide range of content and services that would serve the needs of society.

Only 26 winners were selected through a sturdy screening process from 13 districts under 11 categories and from 163 nominations.  Moreover, Sampath Bank is the only bank to have won an award at this prestigious event.

Sampath Bank Vishwa Corporate Credit facility has given the privilege to the importers to open documentary credit on line, without even sighting the bank, when they opt to import goods to Sri Lanka.  This further facilitates all exporters and importers to view their trade related transactions on line real time while it created an opportunity to the customer to get the facility to their door step.
