Sampath Cards ‘Town on Sale’ to light up Galle on 16-17 August

The Sampath Cards ‘Town on Sale’ promotion is coming to Galle on 16 and 17 August to transform the town of Galle into a shopper’s paradise. Sampath Bank is partnering with leading outlets in Galle to offer credit card holders a 25% discount on all their purchases on the given dates.
Taking place for the fourth year, the ‘Town on Sale’ extravaganza will work in association with 16 selected local partners to offer a 25% discount on selected items. The selected partners include Cargills Foodcity, Singer Plus, Sisil World, Softlogic, Abans, Rich Look, KFC, Pizza Hut, Barista, Heritage Café, Delifrance, Vision Care, Vijitha Yapa Bookshop, Sarasavi Bookshop and South Lanka Steel, making Galle town an attractive shopping haven for the most extravagant shopaholics.
Sampath Cards has also partnered with Jetwing Hotels’ renowned Lighthouse Hotel for a ‘Cardholder Stays For Free’ offer. Cardholders receive a 50% discount on all double rooms and a 33% discount for triple rooms, offered from 15 to 17 August, enabling a fun-filled holiday shopping to one’s heart’s content and lounging in the comfort of the hotel. In addition, a 25% discount will be offered at Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel restaurants, Nihal’s Restaurants, The Cinnamon Room and The Cardamom Café.
The ‘Town on Sale’ promotion was first initiated in 2010 in Rajagiriya, followed by Negombo in 2012 and Kandy in 2013, receiving large crowds from across the country. The large crowds arriving to the location in waves from across the country combined with music and the colourful decorations gave the area a festive air.
Promotions in Negombo attracted Sampath credit card holders from across the country who gave the coastal town a festive air while enjoying a day of shopping. The promotion in Kandy thereafter resulted in a similar outcome prompting the bank to choose a new town and new outlets to partner with for the program.
The increasing number of promotions and ‘Real Deals’ offered to Sampath credit card holders has made Sampath Cards one of the most sought-after among customers.
