Sanjiva appointed Senior Director at Sampath Bank

Sanjiva Senanayake has been appointed as the Senior Director of Sampath Bank from last week.

He was originally appointed to the Board on 1 January 2012 as a Non Executive Director.

At present, Senanayake is a Director of Maldives Finance Leasing Co., Hemas Power Ltd., Hemas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Asian Hotels and Properties Plc.

Senanayake has obtained degrees in Master of Science in Communication Engineering and Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of London, Imperial College of Science and Technology and Kings College respectively.

He was appointed as the Senior Investment Officer, Global Financial Markets Department in the International Finance Corporation from April 2006 to March 2009.

He was the Resident Representative for Sri Lanka and Maldives for the period June 1998 to March 2006.

Among other institutions served were NDB, Commercial Bank, Citi Bank, Sri Lanka, Citi Bank Brunei and Citi Bank, Sydney. He also served as a Director for Suntel, Nations Trust Bank and alternate Director of Commercial Bank as a nominee of IFC.
