Seylan Bank conducts trade seminars for International Trade clients

Seylan Bank’s International Department conducted three International Trade seminars for the year for its branch’s clients island-wide. The first seminar was held in Kurunegala covering trade clients from Kurunegala, Kuliyapitiya, Narammala and Mawathagama. The second seminar was held at Hotel Clarion Kiribathgoda. The branches covered under this program were Kiribathgoda, Kadawtha, Gampaha, Minuwangoda, Nittambuwa, Yakkala and Ganemulla. The third seminar targeted clients from the Central Province. The seminar was held at the Oak Ray Regency Kandy. The branches covered included Kandy, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, Gampola, Matale and Hatton. The topics covered were ‘The Latest Developments Affecting International Trade Transactions’, ‘Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates Behavior’ and ‘Marine Insurance Your Freedom to Trade’. The speakers were Assistant General Manager, International, Seylan Bank Plc Sarath Kumarasiri, Senior Dealer Seylan Bank Plc, Uditha Kaluarachchi and Assistant General Manager-Motor Insurance, AIA Insurance, Tanuj Edward respectively. The presentations were followed by a very interactive Q&A session. Each seminar was attended by over 50 participants from various organisations engaged in international trade. The participants were thereafter presented with a token of appreciation and hosted to lunch.  The seminars were well-patronised and the participants highly appreciated the gesture of the bank in providing the customers with valuable knowledge on current trends in international trade finance and other related fields. The area managers and the branch managers of the respective branches were also present at the occasion.
