Seylan Bank expands network to Madawachchiya

Medawachchiya is a bustling town located in the Anuradhapura District, North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is an important commercial centre of the northern region of Sri Lanka. Commencing from Medawachchiya, four main roads fan out in four directions. They are Jaffna, Kandy, Mannar and Trincomalee.

Medawachchiya is also the focal point from which the A14 main road to Mannar and Talaimannar begins. It is also a main railway station and the railway junction pertaining to the Colombo-Jaffna-Kankasanturai Government railway line.

Presently Medawachchiya is surging ahead towards development and Seylan Bank for its part with the intention of holding hands with the city and its people, opened its newest banking centre on 14 September, under the distinguished patronage of Seylan Bank Senior Deputy General Manager – Recoveries Sunil De Silva. The new banking centre is consisting of all the ultra modern banking facilities and conveniences to serve the people of Medawachchiya and its surroundings.
