Seylan Bank Kurunegala Branch relocates

Kurunegala is the capital of the North Western Province, Sri Lanka, and the Kurunegala District. Kurunegala was also an ancient royal capital for 50 years, from the end of the 13th century to the beginning of the 13th century.

The town itself is a busy commercial and a transport hub. Kurunegala is located at the junction of several main roads linking together other important parts of the country. It is situated about 94 km from Colombo, and 42 km from Kandy.

Kurunegala is surrounded by coconut plantations and rubber estates. There are eight highly noticeable large rocks that encircle the city. The largest among them is Ethagala or the ‘Elephant Rock’.

Presently Athugalpura is surging ahead towards development and Seylan Bank for its part has held hands with the historic city and its people for the past 21 years providing its traditional services from the heart.

 In celebrating the bank’s 21st year of service to the population of Kurunegala, Seylan Bank moved to No. 64, Colombo Road, Kurunegala to its new premises, consisting of all the ultra modern banking facilities and conveniences to serve its loyal customers better. Seylan Bank Chairman Eastman Narangoda along with General Manager/Chief Executive Officer Kapila Ariyaratne declared open the branch on 21 February 2012. The senior management of Seylan Bank, customers and other distinguished invitees were also present.
