Shiranthi Rajapaksa opens Pan Asia Bank’s branch in Tangalle

Pan Asia Bank ceremonially opened its 74th branch in Tangalle on 29 April 2013 at 3 Annapitiya Road, Tangalle. The First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the occasion.

The Mayor of the Tangalle Municipal Council Anil Sellahannadhi, Chairman of Pan Asia Bank Nimal Perera, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Pan Asia Bank Kamoor Sourjah, the senior management of the bank, members of the business community and customers in the area were amongst the other distinguished guests who graced the occasion. Kasun Gunasekera heads Pan Asia Bank’s branch in Tangalle which will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Pan Asia Bank has been in operation for 18 years and offers a full range of retail, SME and business banking products and services. Pan Asia Bank, which is one of the fastest growing banks in the industry, comprises of 74 branches with nine new branches opened during 2012.

The bank expects to further extend its branch network by the end of 2013.

Pan Asia Bank, known for its innovative banking products and services, has introduced several novel banking products such as the ‘Suwa Savi’ fixed deposit which offers a free family medical insurance cover along with an attractive interest rate, and the ‘Daskam’ children’s savings account which offers an additional 10% deposit on top of each and every deposit along with a high interest rate.

The ‘Champion Saver’ savings account, which offers 8% interest per annum, along with an enhanced interest of 8% (8.33% A.E.R.) on the total balance is also another innovative product that Pan Asia Bank offers to customers. The bank also offers products such as ‘Nivasa’ home loans, leasing facilities and ‘Ranaviru’ personal loans to members of the armed forces and their dependents.
