Sinhaputhra Finance opens for biz in Dambulla

Sinhaputhra Finance Plc has opened its latest branch at, 633/1 Anuradhapura Road, Dambulla, in January 2013.

The office was declared open by the Chief Guest Mayor of Dambulla Jaliya Opatha at the auspicious time. The HQI of the Dambulla Police W.T. Weerasinghe was the Guest of Honour.

Mayor Opatha in his keynote address said that business at Dambulla had escalated in recent times and he was glad that yet another financial institution has lent a “helping hand” towards its development. There is widespread potential in town and its environs and he professed that Sinhaputhra would do well in its business of leasing and hire-purchase, business and personal loans, deposit and savings mobilisation and vehicle sales.

Manager of the Dambulla Branch of Sinhaputhra Indika Wickramasinghe in his reply to the Chief Guest said that it was a reality to have a branch at Dambulla, which was a long-felt need. He further stated that Dambulla being an agro-based economy was an ideal location for business and the opening of this branch would make Sinhaputhra easily accessible to people in the area and beyond.

Director (Operations) Saliya de Alwis, Pandula Aluwihare, Upali Hangawatta and Menaka Rambukwella of the senior management of Sinhaputhra also graced the occasion. The branch is in the able hands of Wickremasinghe, a young robust manager who is confident that he can steer the branch to success.
