SL company manufactures ATM machines to deposit cash, leads to new era in banking industry

A Sri Lankan company has designed and manufactured a high-tech ATM machine that can accept cash and credit the amount to the customer’s account on-line real time.

KAD Cash Deposit ATM or Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) is a self-service machine that lets bank customers make deposits by cash on-line real-time.

This machine is designed and developed to accept all versions of Sri Lankan rupee notes with counterfeit detection technology and it can accept currency note bundle of 50 notes in a few seconds. 

Customers can deposit a currency bundle up to 50 notes to the CDM machine at a time. It is not required to sort the currency notes; as the machine itself does all the work. The CDM machine identifies the denominations, identifies the counterfeit notes, counts the values of different denominations, and credits to the account immediately, on-line real-time. The CDM accepts only genuine currency notes and credits to account and issues a receipt for the deposited amount.

The CDM machine has inbuilt intelligence to identify counterfeit notes using latest technology and firmware developed by East Link with their technical partners. It allows the customers to make cash deposits in bundles of any mix of notes of Rs. 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000 of all versions. CDM also reduces counterfeit frauds, as the machine checks each note for counterfeit, which humans cannot do.
