The event was graced by the management of SLIC. All awardees were presented with a personalised plaque, certificate and gold coins as a tribute to their allegiance to Sri Lanka Insurance. The management team of Sri Lanka Insurance thanked all staff receiving awards for longstanding service and their commitment and dedication to making Sri Lanka Insurance the largest and strongest insurer in the nation.With nearly half a decade of service, the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation has the most experienced technical knowledge base in the country and is the largest Government-owned composite insurance provider in Sri Lanka as well as the first insurance company to have been assigned a global rating for financial stability AA (lka) from Fitch Ratings, London which is an assurance of the company’s long-term financial sustainability. Sri Lanka Insurance is the only insurer to be awarded RAM Ratings AAA for its ‘long-term claim paying ability’, which further affirms the corporation’s capacity to meet financial obligations to policyholders. The corporation has also been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification for governing and operational procedures in line with accepted global standards.
