Awarded at D.S. Senanayake College Student Brand Awards 2014
Sri Lanka Insurance was adjudged ‘The Most Popular Insurance Brand’ among the school youth, at the D.S. Student Brand Awards organised by D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, commerce society held recently at the BMICH.
The award was a result of survey conducted among 10,000 students representing all parts of the island to discover the most popular brands among the student population in Sri Lanka. The survey was conducted among the student age group of 14 to 18.
Sri Lanka Insurance for over five decades has been constantly involved in projects that uplift and enhance the social and educational values of children in this nation. The company has been synonymous in the many projects concentrating on children. The financial scholarship scheme launched ‘Sri Lanka Insurance Subhapathum’ offers 300 scholarships to students who have excelled in GCE O/L, A/L and grade five scholarship exams, distributing of first aid boxes to many schools, the ‘Pasal Piriyatha Surakimu’ project under which 3,000 schools below national level were repainted and the many national level sports sponsorships such as rugby, elle and volleyball has contributed to this milestone achievement by Sri Lanka Insurance, to be the ‘Most Popular Insurance Brand’ at the first ever student brand awards ceremony held in this country.
Sri Lanka Insurance firmly believes that uplifting and enhancing social and educational values of children will give Sri Lanka a generation of holistic individuals and values the tribute paid back by the students of Sri Lanka by nominating Sri Lanka Insurance as the Most Popular Insurance Brand of the year.
It is extremely commendable that a student body such as D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya commerce society took upon itself this magnanimous task of researching the most popular student brands.
