Sri Lankan Wealth Planner wins AIA’s Top Life Saver Award

AIA Sri Lanka’s Wealth Planner, Nilantha Senarathna Bandara from Rambukkana attached to the Kegalle Main Branch Office became AIA’s World Champion in the ‘Save a Life’ competition held across the 17 markets in the Asia Pacific region by the AIA Group. Wealth Planner Kumari Perera is also present   “This honour that singles out Sri Lanka for the coveted award is a matter of great pride not only to Nilantha but to the entire Company as it illustrates the dedication and calibre of our committed Sales Team,” said Deputy Chief Executive Officer Upul Wijesinghe. “I warmly congratulate him for his passion and professionalism and of course hard work that has made this achievement possible.” Nilantha, a 43-year-old father of three achieved the coveted Diamond Medal in the AIA Save a Life initiative by saving over a thousand lives as part of AIA’s endeavour to ‘Make a Difference – Save a life’. He has helped 1,096 policyholders within the year to achieve peace of mind which was the highest number across the region secured by a single sales person. The ‘Save a Life’ endeavour helps to provide the right level of protection for the insured and his or her family, making a real difference to their lives. Nilantha’s achievements as a Wealth Planners’ Manager in his region includes MDRT status in 2011 and winning gold and silver awards for sales during his decade long career at AIA Sri Lanka. “Being a Wealth Planners’ Manager is very rewarding for me,” said Bandara, with enthusiasm. “I feel really fulfilled when I know I have helped families to feel secure and protected whatever happens in life. I know I am doing a worthwhile service to our people, not merely a 9-to-5 job. It gives me great satisfaction to save lives this way.” Nilantha was accompanied by Devika Aruna Kumari Perera and Ashoka Violet, both from Dehiattakandiya Area Development Office who qualified to attend the Gala Dinner at the Top Life Savers Awards Presentation held in Hong Kong recently.
