Standard Chartered introduces home loans and equity loans

Standard Chartered recently introduced secured lending products to its suite of offerings to discerning customers. The home loan and equity loan will provide a total financial solution to those looking to invest in real estate or other instruments, bringing a new dimension to mortgage lending in the local market. These new products will further reiterate the bank’s aspiration to be a one stop shop for all banking and financial needs.
Standard Chartered Head of Consumer Banking Sanjay Wijemanne, speaking of the new product offerings said: “We are particularly proud to be introducing the innovative equity loan which is yet another first for Standard Chartered in the local banking milieu. This product will facilitate borrowing against a property for investment in some other purpose, such as financing a child’s education overseas, or purchasing a holiday home.”
Standard Chartered ventures in to the home and equity loans segment, as it broadens its product offerings. The loans are available at attractive interest rates, and a tenor of up to 20 years with a maximum loan value up to Rs. 50 million.
