Standard Chartered recently awarded Galaxy Tabs to three lucky winners as part of an initiative to reward the bank’s Online Banking customers. Each time a customer logged on to Standard Chartered’s Online Banking during the period 1 November to 31 December 2012, their names were entered into a raffle draw. Winners of the raffle draw M.R. Saleem, M. Asif, and T.D. Gunasekara. Each received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
Sanjay Wijemanne, Head of Consumer Bank, commenting on the campaign to attract customers to engage with the Online Banking tool, said: “Remote banking channels are a key feature of Standard Chartered’s personal banking proposition. The bank is also conscious of its carbon footprint and announced the first zero carbon credit card just last November. Online Banking is just one of the many remote channels available for customer convenience and it saves the environment too by facilitating access to banking without having to leave one’s home.”
Standard Chartered has, over the years, made significant investments to improve the range of products, services, features and access channels available to the bank’s customers, and further enhancements are in the pipeline.
The bank’s Online Banking facility offers features such as fund transfers within the bank and to other banks, the transaction history up to one year, online cheque book requests and standing order set up, provision to make utility bill payments, in addition to the ability to view accounts with Standard Chartered, as well as offering immediate cash advances transferred in to a savings or current account from the bank’s credit cards.
