Standard Chartered rewards Remote Banking customers

Two winners of Standard Chartered Bank’s “remote Banking user promotion” were rewarded last week with a laptop and 32” LCD Television for their usage of online and SMS banking services. Standard Chartered Bank offers customers the convenience of banking 24x7 through the Bank’s suite of Remote Banking applications such as Online Banking and SMS Banking.

Introducing convenience and state-of-the-art solutions, Standard Chartered bank launched its Remote Banking Solutions in 2004. Whilst encouraging customers through a range of innovative solutions, creating awareness on the benefits of these services among its clients have been ongoing. With a customer reward scheme in place to encourage more environment friendly banking solutions and moving away from print to electronic, customers are rewarded for embracing available technology.

Past promotion winners include, Chirath Thissera of Panadura, who was rewarded for actively using Online Banking and S. Kotakadeniya of Nugegoda for using SMS Banking solutions.

Chirath Thissera of Panadura who won a Laptop for being an active Online Banking states: “Standard Chartered Banks’ online banking system has helped me to conveniently and speedily track my transactions on a daily basis including allowing me to access past records. This has helped me manage my funds in a systematic manner and save time as well. I read the notification of the promotion online and was surprised and overjoyed to find that I was a winner! S. Kotakadeniya of Nugegoda was the proud recipient of a 32 inch LCD by signing up for the Bank’s SMS Banking services. Kotakadeniya stated “using the Banks SMS Banking facility is easy. I just send an SMS to 2480 typing BE as the message and I retrieve my account balance within a few seconds. It’s convenient when you are out and about and just want to check how much is in your account”

Banking with Standard Chartered will soon be further enhanced with the introduction of new and more advanced automatic teller machines (ATMs). Standard Chartered Bank customers can also log on to the Banks’ website www.standardchartered.com/lk for updates on new offers and deals.
