As the annual summer season begins to hot up globally, HSBC customers in Sri Lanka too will have more reason to celebrate with seasonal specialties throughout July and August, with each week offering attractive summer deals that are tipped to be too good to miss.
‘Going once, going twice, get it before it’s gone’ will be the concept behind HSBC’s creative summer fiesta scheduled from 15 July until 15 August 2013. Each week will feature multiple offers and benefits for HSBC credit cardholders specifically targeted towards the dining, shopping, lodging, supermarket and car care categories.
During the first week (15-21 July), cardholders will be invited to savour specialty cuisines with ‘HSBC’s Cardholders Dines Free’ offered at The Hilton Colombo Residence, Great Wall Restaurant, In on the Green at Galle Face Hotel or should cardholders plan a day out at the Heritance Ahungalla. At the same time, cardholders can enjoy many on-going dining deals offered at leading hotels and restaurants.
Week two (22-28 July), promises a slightly different focus with fashion deals targeting Ramazan shopping at the country’s premier men’s fashion store – Hameedia offering summer deals of up to 60% on selected clothing. As for the ladies, Mondy will showcase a range of fashionable clothing and accessories suited for the season.
For a mix of men’s/women’s and children’s wear, The Factory Outlet (TFO) will offer attractive discounts on clothing. With many outdoor sporting activities likely to take place during the summer season, Adidas will feature its latest sports line with a 15% saving on all apparels and shoes and an additional savings of up to 40% on selected items. These are in addition to the various on-going clothing deals available at leading clothing stores around the country.

Holidaymakers looking to spend a fun-filled beach vacation along the sandy shores in the south, will surely appreciate, HSBCs ‘Cardholders Stays Free’ currently offered at Long Beach Resort in Galle, Avani Kalutara Resort and Avani Bentota Resort and Spa, valid until 4 August 2013. In Addition cardholders can enjoy similar lodging privileges at Club Bentota, Temple Trees Resort, Bentota, Dickwella Holiday Resort, Dickwella, Peacock Beach Resort, Hambantota and Cocoon Resorts and Villas in Induruwa valid until 31 August 2013, amongst others.
Shopping for daily essentials will be a rewarding experience from 5-11 August at Keells Supermarkets during which time cardholders can enjoy a 25% saving on fresh meat, sea food, vegetables and fruit for purchases above rupees 5000 from 4-8p.m.
Concurrently, HSBC will hold a Utility Bills promotion where cardholders can stand a chance to receive a 10% cash back rebate on their telephone, water and electricity bills, through weekly draws entitling over 2400 customers a chance to qualify. Meanwhile, the bank has partnered with several car care experts in the country to offer car detailing services for good vehicle maintenance as an additional benefit to cardholders. These include general checks to genuine spare part purchases and general maintenance services with generous savings offered at Toyota Lanka, Petco Lanka, Lucas Batteries, Auto Mirage and Mobil.
